Applying

When you have found a role you would like to apply for please click on the “apply now” button at the side of the job advert.

We ask you to complete the application form, attach your cv and a supporting statement. We will also ask you for one referee out of two, who can be contacted prior to an interview for safeguarding purposes.

Please make sure you save your application as we wouldn’t want you to lose your work should you be pulled away from it.

Once submitted, we will send you an email to confirm that we have received your application. If you haven’t received an email from us, check your junk or spam mailbox. If there’s still no email it means we haven’t received your application and you should send it again.

We will always let you know whether you’ve been shortlisted or not. We do receive many applications, so we hope you understand that unfortunately we’re not able to give individual feedback if you’re not shortlisted for interview/assessment or a trial day.

Our commitments to you

We are a part of the disability confident scheme and will guarantee to interview candidates with a disability whose application meets the minimum criteria of the role as detailed under the person specification.

We are committed to equality of opportunity and we are a Regulated Activity Provider (RAP). This mean that all paid employees are therefore classed as undertaking regulated activity and are subject to checks with the Disclosure and Barring Service

We will not automatically refuse to employ a particular individual just because he/she has a previous criminal conviction. As part of the selection process, we will ask job applicants to disclose any unspent convictions, but will not ask questions about spent convictions, nor expect them to be disclosed.

Having a criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working with us. This will depend on the offence and the relevance of the offence in relation to the position applied for. We will review the individual circumstances of the case and may, at our discretion, decline to select the individual for employment.

Inteview

If you’ve been shortlisted, we will contact you by email or telephone to arrange an interview. Please check you junk mailbox.

We will let you know the format of your interview. Depending on the type of role you’ve applied for, we may ask you to complete a personality profile assessment as part of your interview. For other roles we sometimes ask candidates to prepare a presentation beforehand.

At the interview is it as much for us to assess you as it is for you to assess us. Please be open and honest with us. Demonstrate your skills and experience so we can find out as much relevant information about you in the short time we have. Please feel comfortable asking questions about the role and the organisation.

Please be aware we do not reimburse candidates for travel expenses so be sure to look at the location of your interview on the map provided before attending.

We do offer feedback to all interviewed candidates.

Congratulations, we have offered you a role! We can’t wait for you to start.

Safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do so we will be carrying out a number of checks during the onboarding process. This will include obtaining an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate to enable you to work with children and young adults.

To find out more, please click here.

We will be working on contacting your second reference.

The recruitment team will ask you to come into the office for an ID check which will give you another opportunity to meet with us prior to your first day.

We try very hard to have your onboarding completed before your first day but that’s not always possible and if there’s anything you can do to help speed things along we would be most grateful.

On your first day you should expect a really warm welcome, introductions to your team and an induction programme to help settle you in.
