The Rise School is seeking an exceptional Humanities Lead to shape, develop, and drive an engaging and high-quality Humanities curriculum, encompassing History, Citizenship, and PSHE. About The Rise School

 The Rise School was opened in September 2014 under the government's free school programme by the Ambitious about Autism Schools Trust, with the core purpose of preparing learners for the next stages in their lives and for success beyond school. The Rise School Sixth Form opened in September 2019. We place equal priority on academic and social outcomes, with learners gaining both the qualifications and the skill-set to successfully access further education or employment and to be full and active participants in society

Your Role:

As Humanities Lead, you will:

  • Lead, manage, and develop an inspiring and inclusive Humanities curriculum across all key stages.
  • Ensure that every learner makes excellent progress, achieving their full potential.
  • Implement innovative teaching strategies to raise attainment in History, Citizenship, and PSHE.
  • Collaborate with a passionate team to create a broad, balanced, and differentiated curriculum.
  • Play a key role in preparing learners for further education, employment, and active participation in society.

What We're Looking For:

  • A dedicated and experienced Humanities teacher with a track record of raising learner attainment.
  • Passion for working with autistic young people.
  • Strong leadership and curriculum development skills.
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding teaching and learning.

 Closing date- 27th January 2025 at 3pm

Interview date- 4th February 2025

Start date- April 2025
